Lent 2009

During Lent we grow through fasting, almsgiving and prayer. Join us on our Lenten journey!
Ash Wednesday
Mrs. Opsteen-Van Dyke and the church choir put together a slide show to highlight the meaning of Ash Wednesday and Lent. This was shared before Liturgy on Ash Wednesday at Holy Cross. The music (vocal and instrumental) and conversion to mp3 was done by our students. Click on the link and turn up the volume.

 		Stations of the Cross
During Lent we pray the Stations of the Cross. At Holy Cross Campus our classroom doors are transformed into each of the stations. Click the link below to walk the Stations of the Cross with us. 



Will you take up the Cross?

On Thursday, March 19 the students of St. Aloysius Campus and Holy Cross Campus gathered for an All System Liturgy. This happens every other month during the school year. Students sit and pray with their buddies during Liturgy and afterwards spend time doing buddy activities. The activities are usually an outreach project. This month the students each had a plain cross that was blessed during Liturgy. After Liturgy the buddies worked together to paint their crosses. Each student was able to take home their cross as a reminder of their Lenten journey. One hundred extra crosses were made and will be delivered to the neighbors around both campuses.
