Mrs. Mary Krubsack
Teacher's Aide

My name is Mrs. Mary Krubsack. I am beginning my 13th year as an aide at KCSS. I was an aid for Pre-School for 9 years and am going into my 4th year as an aide for1st and 2nd grade. I also do the laminating for the school. I will also be an aide at Holy Cross this year for the first time. I graduated as a Medical Assistant from NWTC , but love of children brought me to KCSS. I love chocolate and cheesecake. I love to read, stamp, knit, bake, play Wheel of Fortune and Scrabble, camp and travel. I have been to Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Minnesota, Illinois and Hawaii. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Stephen, for 31 years. I have 2 daughters, Virginia and Elizabeth, and 1 son, Andrew. We have lived in Kaukauna for 29 years.

Mrs. Janice Wiedenhaupt
Teacher's Aide

My name is Mrs. Janice Wiedenhaupt.  The children all know me as "Mrs. W."  for obvious reasons.  I am beginning my 15th year as a Teacher's Aide in Pre-Kindergarten for KCSS with the 2007-08 school year.  I have lived in Kaukauna all of my life and a "few" years ago, I attended Holy Cross School for Grades 1 through 8.  I love to go camping, watch all kinds of racing, and read.  I am married and have 2 daughters and one son.  I enjoy working with children and I love my job!

Mrs. Susan Onkels
Child Care Director

My name is Mrs. Susan Onkels.  I am beginning my sixth year as Child Care Director at KCSS.  I have been in the child care field for 26 years.  Prior to coming to KCSS, I opened the first Licensed Family Child Care in Weyauwega. I moved to Appleton and continued Licensed Family Child Care in my home.  I have an Associate Degree in Child Care and Development from Fox Valley Technical College.  I collect antiques, wish I had more time to sew and do crafts, and love to ride the Harleys.  I am married and have 3 grown step-children and 4 step-grandchildren.

Mrs. Kathy Tisdale
3-6 Computer Teacher

My name is Mrs. Kathy Tisdale and I am the computer teacher for kindergarten through fifth grade at St. Aloysius and Holy Cross schools. I have been teaching for eighteen years. The 2007-2008 school year will be my fourteenth year with KCSS. I began my teaching career as a Learning Disabilities/Behavior Disorders resource room teacher in Centerville, Ohio in 1975. After moving to Wisconsin in 1976 with my husband Dave, I began teaching at Sacred Heart School in Sherwood. There I worked as an eight grade social studies and language arts teacher for three years. A few years after the birth of our son Nick, I taught one year at St. Francis School in Hollandtown as a sixth grade science and math teacher. I am a graduate of Miami University; Oxford, Ohio with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. I have taken various graduate level courses in computer science. I have lived in five states: Texas, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin. My husband and I enjoy playing folk music and occasionally will perform at local coffee shops.

Mrs. Desiree Hurlbut
7-8 Math/Computers

My name is Mrs. Desiree Hurlbut. I will be teaching computers and math for grades 7-8 for the 2007-2008 school year. I will also be working on making changes to the KCSS website, and updating the weekly news information. I graduated from Neenah High School. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a minor in social science. I started in the KCSS system in 2007 as a teachers aide/paraprofessional. During the summer I teach kindergarten readiness in Appleton. I currently live in Neenah with my husband David. I enjoy traveling, hiking, playing tennis, camping, backpacking ( when the bears are still sleeping), and reading. I have not been to very many places in the United States or Wisconsin, so my husband and I have started a list of all the places we would like to see. However, I have traveled to Mexico, and Jamaica twice.

Ms. Judy Rogers
Learning Specialist

My name is Miss Judy Rogers. I am beginning my 30th year of teaching with the start of the 2007-2008 school year. I taught fifth grade, for 26 years, at St. Aloysius School in Kaukauna. Then when more grades were sent to Holy Cross I taught fourth grade for one year and then moved on to my current position of Learning Specialist/Computer Teacher. I also do a whole lot of picture taking for the school.

I have a business Degree from Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin. I received my Education Degree from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh.

I grew up in River Forest, Illinois in a family of seven children. Being from the Chicago area is one reason why I am a very big Chicago Cubs Fan. I am still waiting for them to make it into the World Series in my lifetime. I like to incorporate sports into my teaching lessons.

Mrs. Donna Eddy
Art

Donny Eddy has been teaching art with KCSS since 1995. She graduated from Appleton East High School and from UW-Stevens Point with a Bachelor's degree in Art Education. Prior to moving back to Wisconsin to be closer to family, she lived in Boulder, Colorado, Anchorage, Alaska, and Yuba City, California. While in California she taught 5th grade for 5 years. "Living in so many different places has allowed me to visit many wonderful parts of the country. Someday I hope to visit Europe and visit art museums." She enjoys working in many different medias, including painting, weaving, and glass. Other hobbies include gardening, cooking, playing tennis, hiking and canoeing. Married since 1979, she and her husband have three grown boys.

HI, my name is Michelle DeGroot and I am teaching instrumental music and general music 6-8 for the 2007-2008 school year. I graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 2004 with a degree in Music Education and this is my fourth year teaching. I spent two years teaching in Wisconsin and I spent one year teaching in England. I love exploring new places and have so far traveled around 8 different countries. I am most interested in the study of musicology and how music is different, yet the same, all around the world.

Mr. Jason Kleinschmidt
Physical Education

Hello my name is Mr. Jason Kleinschmidt. I am the Physical Education instructor at Holy Cross School. I am beginning my second year of teaching with the 2007-2008 school year. Prior to coming to Holy Cross I student taught in the Hortonville school district as well as being a long term substitute teacher for a semester in 2006 for physical education at Hortonville Middle School. I am a graduate of UW-Stevens Point where I was a double major in Physical Education and History as well as a minor in Health Education. one of my biggest hobbies is wrestling as i am an assistant coach at Kaukauna High School for wrestling. I also coach a successful wrestling club program for Freestyle and Greco-Roman called the Kangaroo Club. I have also been a state Cadet Greco coach for team Wisconsin in the national tournament. With my background of wrestling and history I have traveled to many places across the country and I Europe. Places I have traveled include Canada, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, and many places inside of the United States. I am married and have an English Bulldog named Molly.

Mrs. Stacey Heindel
Counselor

Hello, my name is Mrs. Stacey Heindel and I am the new School Counselor. This will be my first year as a School Counselor. Previously, I worked for Family Services in the Crisis Center for nine years and for the Boys & Girls Club for three years. I enjoy working with students in a variety of roles and look forward to running groups, spending time in classrooms, and meeting with students individually.
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from UW-LaCrosse and my Master's Degree in School Counseling from UW-Oshkosh. I spent a semester in Scotland which will be an experience I will never forget. I am married and the mother of two precious little boys who fascinate me every day. When I am not chasing after my little ones I enjoy wakeboarding, cooking large meals, decoration, traveling, and a variety of crafts.

Mrs. Elissa Gaetzke
Spanish

Hola...I am very excited about being the new Spanish teacher here at Holy Cross! I come all the way from Hartford (Wisconsin, that is). I have taught Spanish there for 2 years and enjoyed it. My husband Patrick and I are happy about moving to the Fox Valley area and hope to stay for many years to come. I look forward to getting to know all the staff and the students as well as their families!!! Hasta luego.
