Nordic Mountain offers an exceptional and very reasonable
ski club membership. In order to be part of the ski club, you must sign up for
ALL the dates. Lessons are mandatory for beginners, per Nordic Mountain skiing
rules. Nordic Mountain allows one adult chaperone for every ten students.
Adult chaperones ski free, but still need to pay for their own equipment rental. Helmets
are available for rental at cost of $2.00. Helmets are included with the
snowboard rental.
If you sign up, you must pay for all FOUR trips and all
FOUR rentals (if equipment is needed.) If any student is not interested in all the trips,
they can sign up on the sub-list posted by the office. If there is a ski club
member who cannot attend a trip, that trip can be sold to a sub. All money is
handled between the member and the sub. Paperwork must be completed and turned
in before the trip (permission slips, etc.). Nordic Mountain does not
allow a date substitution for any students not going on the scheduled trips. It
is up to the student to arrange their own sub.
Bus space is very limited. One adult chaperone is required
for every ten students. Due to full busses, do not assume that there will be
room for other family
members on the Ski Club bus. Family members are more than welcome
to join us, at a reduced rate, at the ski hill, with transportation on their
own. Thanks for understanding and following this procedure.
The cost of the bus will be worked out after the number of
students is finalized. The Nordic Mountain weeknight brochure and permission
slip must be completed and returned to the school office with payment no later
than Monday, November 19, 2007. Checks are to be payable to KCSS.
