How does Scrip work?

Scrip is a fundraising program supported by local and national merchants.
Your parish buys gift certificates from merchants at a discount.
Your parish then sells the scrip gift certificates at face value to its parishioners. Parishioners then use the gift certificates to purchase products and services routinely bought—without paying any additional monies for the purchase.

How can I benefit from using Scrip?

Using Scrip gift certificates can help reduce your tuition bill. When you purchase Scrip you can designate one-half of the percentage toward your tuition bill. The remaining one-half would go to your parish.

You are helping support your parish in a virtually painless way. Effort on your part is to stop at the parish office or after Sunday morning mass to purchase Scrip gift certificates. It does not cost you additional money to purchase the Scrip gift certificates.

How does your Parish benefit from Scrip?

Your parish is able to raise funds by keeping the difference between the discount price at which the gift certificate is bought and the full face value at which it is sold to parishioners.

If everyone of our parish units (family or individual) were to use Scrip on a regular basis, spending $50 per week for 52 weeks, your parish could raise $72,000!
